What is Bespoke Jewellery Design?
Bespoke jewellery refers to pieces that are one-of-a-kind creations; beautiful pieces of jewellery that no one else will have, a future heirloom that is designed and made especially for you personally.
Do you use conflict free diamonds and precious gemstones?
As a company we are firmly committed to working with the utmost integrity and committed to ensuring the purchase of precious metals, polished diamonds and other gemstones reflect the highest standards of conduct. We only use trusted suppliers and we are a member of the National Association of Jewellers who promote responsible, ethical, environmental and social practices throughout the diamond and gold jewellery chain.
Can I see the gemstones and diamonds before they are set?
We source our gemstones from all over the world, each one being unique and displaying its own charm and personality which sets it apart from others. As part of the bespoke jewellery design experience, we encourage you to view a selection of gemstones in order to select your perfect stone. If you would rather we select the most suitable gemstone on your behalf, that is also perfectly fine.
Can I use gemstones or diamonds that I already own? It is totally possible to design something using precious gemstones or diamonds that you already own. If enquiring about a design using your own gemstones, please provide as much information about the stone(s) as possible - name, shape, size, carat weight, colour, cut, and condition - as this will determine how they can be used in a new design.
What metals do you use? 18ct and 9ct gold, platinum, palladium and sterling silver.
Do you work with clients remotely? Whist it is preferential to work with clients face to face, it is possible to work with someone anywhere in the world over email, telephone and using Skype. So don't worry if you don't live locally, we can design something perfect for you no matter where you live.
How quickly does it take for a bespoke piece to be made, and can it be made any quicker? A lot of time, care and attention detail goes into creating our jewellery. Bespoke items typically take between 6-10 weeks, although in special circumstances and where possible, shorter time-frames may be accommodated. Jewellery purchased from catherinebuddjewellery.co.uk will be dispatched within 10 - 15 working days unless otherwise specified.
Is it possible to engrave pieces? Laser and hand engraving services can be provided and typically adds five to ten working days. Prices are available on request.
I don't know the finger size? As part of the bespoke design experience we offer a complimentary ring re-sizing within one month of your purchase, so if you are buying something as a present and unsure of the size please don't worry. If you are buying from catherinebuddjewellery.co.uk all sizes must be quoted at time of order and it is your responsibility to ensure you have ordered the correct size. Any adjustments can be made after purchase but it will be charged at an agreed cost.
What is your delivery method? All jewellery requiring UK delivery will be shipped using Royal Mail Special Delivery (guaranteed next day) and items for international delivery will be shipped using Parcel Force. All parcels will be fully insured while in transit, and must be signed for when received. UK postage will be charged at £10.00 and international postage charged on a individual basis depending on the destination country and will be subject to all duties and taxes imposed by the receiving country.
What is your returns policy? When you place an order with us on catherinebuddjewellery.co.uk, you are welcome to return any item(s) provided you return them within 14 days of delivery. Pieces must be returned in an unworn condition. Sales on bespoke pieces are final and non returnable. Please contact us for details.
Do you provide a guarantee with your jewellery? Our jewellery is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months from the date of its original purchase. Where possible, we will offer to repair faulty items, however when items deemed faulty cannot be repaired or the same item is not available, a full refund will be offered. Items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.
How do you package the jewellery? Every piece of jewellery is beautifully presented and packaged in its own branded box.
